Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners provides carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services within its service area in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which form the entire agreement between you and Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners for the provision of services.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the person, company or organisation booking or receiving the services.

Company means Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners, the provider of the services.

Services means carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain treatment, odour treatment and any other related cleaning services agreed between the Client and the Company.

Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between the Client and the Company, comprising these Terms and Conditions and the details confirmed in the booking.

2. Scope of Services

The Company will provide the services described in the booking confirmation or as otherwise agreed with the Client. The exact nature of the cleaning and any additional tasks will be confirmed at the time of booking or on arrival, subject to inspection of the premises and the condition of the items to be cleaned.

The Company will use reasonable care and skill in providing the services. However, the outcome of cleaning can depend on factors such as the age and condition of carpets and fabrics, type of fibres, previous cleaning methods, existing damage, and the nature and age of stains. The Company does not guarantee complete stain removal, odour removal or restoration of items to a like new condition.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings can be made by the Client through the Companys accepted booking channels. The Client must provide accurate and complete information, including the address of the premises, type and approximate size of areas or items to be cleaned, access details, parking information and any relevant issues such as heavy soiling, pet odours or previous damage.

3.2 All bookings are subject to availability and to confirmation by the Company. The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking where it reasonably considers that the services cannot be provided safely, lawfully or to an acceptable standard.

3.3 Any quotation provided prior to inspection of the premises is an estimate only, based on the information supplied by the Client. The Company reserves the right to amend the price on arrival if the information provided was incomplete or inaccurate, or if the scope of work required is different from what was initially agreed. In such cases, the Company will inform the Client and seek agreement before proceeding.

3.4 The Client is responsible for ensuring that suitable access is available at the agreed time, including clear access to the premises and to the areas to be cleaned. The presence of a responsible adult is required while the services are being carried out, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

4. Pricing and Payments

4.1 Prices are usually quoted per room, per item, per area, or on an hourly basis, as specified at the time of booking. All prices will be stated in pound sterling and will include any applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated.

4.2 The Company may require a deposit or pre-payment to secure the booking. Where a deposit is required, the booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received by the Company.

4.3 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment of the balance is due immediately on completion of the services. The Company accepts the payment methods specified at the time of booking or in the booking confirmation.

4.4 If the Client fails to make payment when due, the Company reserves the right to charge reasonable late payment fees, interest on overdue amounts at the statutory rate, and any costs incurred in recovering the debt, including administrative and legal costs.

4.5 The Company may review and update its prices from time to time. Any change in pricing will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed, except where the booking details change or where incorrect information was provided by the Client.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Access

5.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving notice to the Company. The Company applies the following policy unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation.

5.2 If the Client cancels or reschedules more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, any deposit paid may be refunded or applied to a future booking at the Companys discretion.

5.3 If the Client cancels or reschedules within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, the Company may retain some or all of the deposit or charge a cancellation fee up to a reasonable proportion of the quoted service price, to cover time allocated and any costs incurred.

5.4 If the Client fails to provide access to the premises at the agreed time, or if the Company is unable to start or complete the services due to the Clients act or omission, this may be treated as a late cancellation and a cancellation fee may apply.

5.5 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, equipment failure, staff illness or transport issues. In such cases, the Company will notify the Client as soon as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment. The Company will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from such cancellation.

6. Client Obligations and Preparation

6.1 The Client must provide a safe working environment, including adequate lighting, heating and ventilation, and must ensure that the premises are free from hazards that could pose a risk to the Companys staff, equipment or the Client.

6.2 The Client is responsible for moving light furniture and personal items from the areas to be cleaned, unless the Company has explicitly agreed to move items as part of the service. The Company may move small or light furniture where it is safe and practical to do so, but is not responsible for moving heavy, valuable or fragile items such as pianos, large cabinets, aquariums, electronics or antiques.

6.3 The Client must inform the Company of any known issues that may affect the services, including but not limited to loose carpet fittings, pre existing damage, weak seams, shrinkage risks, colour run risks, or areas where water use should be limited.

6.4 The Client should ensure that pets and children are kept away from the work areas during and immediately after cleaning, particularly while carpets or upholstery remain damp, and while equipment and cleaning agents are in use.

7. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance

7.1 The Company will use professional cleaning products and equipment appropriate to the services. Safety data sheets for cleaning agents used are available on request. The Client should notify the Company in advance of any allergies or sensitivities so that suitable products or methods can be considered, where reasonably possible.

7.2 The Company complies with applicable health and safety laws and will take reasonable steps to minimise risk. The Client agrees to follow any safety advice given by the Company during or after the provision of the services, including recommended drying times and ventilation requirements.

7.3 The Company will endeavour to minimise environmental impact and will dispose of any waste water and residues generated during cleaning in compliance with relevant regulations. The Client must not request or require the Company to dispose of waste in a manner that breaches any local or national regulations.

8. Waste Regulations and Disposal

8.1 During the course of providing services, the Company may generate waste water, extracted soiling, packaging and other minor waste materials. The Company will handle and dispose of its own operational waste responsibly and in line with applicable environmental and waste management regulations in the United Kingdom.

8.2 The Companys services do not include the removal or disposal of hazardous, clinical or regulated waste, including but not limited to sharps, medical waste, asbestos, chemical residues, or animal remains. If such materials are discovered, the Company may suspend or terminate the services in the affected area for safety reasons and will not be liable for failure to clean that area.

8.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring that the premises are free from hazardous waste prior to the commencement of the services and must comply with all relevant waste storage and disposal duties arising from their own activities at the premises.

8.4 If the Company is required to remove or manage waste beyond its usual operational waste, and agrees to do so, an additional charge may apply, to be agreed between the Client and the Company in advance wherever reasonably possible.

9. Liability and Limitations

9.1 The Company will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the services. However, the Companys liability to the Client is subject to the following limits, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9.2 The Company is not liable for wear, discolouration, damage or defects that become visible as a result of cleaning, where such issues were pre existing or inherent in the item, fabric or carpet, including but not limited to shading, pile distortion, fading, deterioration, loose joins, or damage caused by previous cleaning or treatments.

9.3 The Company is not responsible for any damage resulting from the Clients failure to follow advice or instructions, including recommended drying times, ventilation, or restrictions on use immediately after cleaning.

9.4 The Company is not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity or any loss relating to business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise.

9.5 The Companys total liability for any loss or damage arising under or in connection with the agreement shall be limited to the amount paid or payable by the Client for the specific services giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

9.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Damage, Complaints and Claims

10.1 The Client should inspect the work as soon as reasonably practicable after completion. If the Client has any concerns or is dissatisfied with any aspect of the services, they should raise this with the Company promptly so that it can be investigated.

10.2 Any complaint relating to the services must be reported to the Company as soon as possible and in any event within 48 hours of completion. The Company will review the complaint and, where appropriate, may arrange a revisit to inspect the work and attempt to rectify any identified issues.

10.3 Any claim for damage allegedly caused by the Company must be notified as soon as reasonably practicable and supported with evidence. The Client should not attempt to repair or replace any damaged item without first giving the Company the opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy the issue. Failure to do so may limit the Companys ability to assess and resolve the matter.

11. Insurance

The Company maintains insurance appropriate to the nature of its services, including public liability insurance to a reasonable level as determined by the Company. Evidence of insurance can be provided to the Client upon reasonable request.

12. Access, Parking and Equipment

12.1 The Client must provide reasonable access to the premises for the Companys staff, equipment and materials. This includes safe access routes and, where necessary, access to water and electricity supplies.

12.2 Where on street or private parking is required to carry out the services, the Client is responsible for providing necessary information about parking arrangements. Any parking charges or permits required to access the premises may be added to the service charge, where agreed with the Client.

12.3 The Company will use its own professional equipment wherever possible. If, at the Clients request, the Company uses equipment or products supplied by the Client, the Company will not be liable for any damage or reduced results arising from their use.

13. Data Protection and Privacy

The Company collects and processes personal data such as names, addresses and booking details for the purpose of providing the services, managing bookings, processing payments and handling enquiries. The Company will take reasonable steps to protect personal data and will not sell such data to third parties.

By making a booking, the Client consents to the Company using their contact details for the administration of the services and for reasonable service related communications. The Client may request details of personal data held about them and may ask for corrections where necessary.

14. Variation of Terms

The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of the booking will apply to that booking. Continued use of the Companys services after changes are published will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions for future bookings.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the services provided by the Company.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed to be deleted, and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any specific details contained in the booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the services and supersede any prior discussions, correspondence or understandings between the parties.

By placing a booking with Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners, the Client confirms that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
