Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners Terms and Conditions

Carpet cleaning team preparing professional equipment for a service appointmentThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners provides domestic and commercial cleaning services in the UK. By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing our team to commence work, you agree to these terms. They are intended to be fair, transparent, and consistent with applicable consumer and business law. For the purposes of these terms, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider operating under the name Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners, and references to “you” mean the customer, client, or authorised representative placing the booking.

These terms apply to carpet cleaning and related upholstery or fabric care services where agreed in advance. They do not create any obligation for us to accept every request, and they may be updated from time to time. The version in force on the date of your booking will usually apply to that booking, unless a change is required by law. Please read these terms carefully before confirming an appointment, as they explain important points about service scope, payment, cancellation, liability, and waste handling.

We aim to provide a professional carpet cleaning service that is reliable and clear in its conditions. However, as cleaning results can depend on fabric type, age, previous treatment, soil level, and environmental factors, no statement in these terms should be interpreted as a guarantee of perfect restoration. Any reference to “clean”, “fresh”, or “improved” should be read in the context of realistic cleaning outcomes and the limitations of the material being treated.

Cleaner confirming a carpet cleaning booking and service details## Booking Process

Bookings may be made by telephone, email, online request form, or any other method we make available from time to time. A booking is not confirmed until we have acknowledged the appointment and, where relevant, received any required deposit or pre-authorisation. We may ask for details such as the address, access arrangements, service type, number of rooms, approximate carpet condition, and any known stains or odours. This information helps us allocate appropriate time, equipment, and staffing for your carpet cleaner appointment.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and complete. If material information changes before the appointment, you must tell us as soon as reasonably possible. Examples include changes to access, parking restrictions, pet presence, water supply issues, or special cleaning requirements. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the service, timing, or final price. In some cases, we may need to amend the booking or decline to proceed if safe and effective service delivery is not possible.

Appointment times are given as estimated arrival windows rather than guaranteed exact times, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We will use reasonable efforts to attend within the agreed period, but delays may occur due to traffic, preceding jobs, weather, or unforeseen operational issues. If a delay is expected, we will try to notify you in good time. You must ensure that someone aged 18 or over is present, or that we have clear permission to enter and carry out the work without attendance if agreed in advance.

By making a booking, you confirm that you are authorised to request the service at the property and to consent to the performance of work there. You also confirm that the areas to be cleaned are reasonably accessible and suitable for treatment. If we arrive and cannot start work because access is unavailable, the property is unsafe, or the condition of the premises prevents completion, this may be treated as a late cancellation or wasted visit, and a charge may still apply.

Where a survey, inspection, or pre-clean assessment is necessary, any quote or estimate provided before inspection is based on the information available at that time. A quote may be revised if the actual condition differs from the description given. This is especially relevant for a carpet cleaning service where hidden damage, pre-existing staining, or fibre sensitivity may only become apparent on inspection. We will explain any material change before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

Professional carpet cleaner treating a carpet during a scheduled appointment## Payments and Pricing

Prices may be quoted as fixed fees, starting prices, room-based charges, item-based charges, or bespoke estimates depending on the nature of the work. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are quoted in pounds sterling and may be subject to VAT or other applicable taxes if required by law. Any estimate is provided in good faith, but it is not a binding final price unless expressly stated as fixed and subject to no change.

Payment is normally due on completion of the service, unless we agree a different arrangement in writing before the appointment. We may accept cash, bank transfer, card payment, or other methods indicated at the time of booking. If a deposit is required, it will be made clear at the time of confirmation. Deposits may be non-refundable in certain cancellation circumstances, especially where we have reserved time and resources specifically for your booking.

You must ensure that payment is made in full and cleared promptly. Where payment is not received on the day, we may issue an invoice payable within a stated period. If payment remains outstanding, we may charge reasonable costs of recovery and interest to the extent permitted by law. We reserve the right to suspend future services for customers with overdue balances until all sums have been settled.

Any promotional offer, discount, or bundled price is valid only for the period and conditions stated. Offers cannot usually be combined unless we expressly allow this. Where a quoted price depends on specific assumptions, such as a limited number of rooms, standard access, or normal soiling, additional charges may apply if the actual work exceeds those assumptions. This helps ensure fairness and reflects the real time and materials used by the Yiewsley carpet cleaner team.

We may charge extra for services requested at short notice, out-of-hours attendance, difficult access, heavily soiled areas, or specialist treatment. Examples include stain removal attempts, odour treatment, or additional drying support. Any extra charges should be explained before the relevant work is undertaken, where possible. If new issues are discovered during cleaning, we may pause the job to discuss options and obtain your approval before continuing.

## Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving us reasonable notice. Unless a different notice period is stated in your confirmation, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with insufficient notice may incur a charge to cover loss of time, travel, and unrecoverable preparation costs. Where a deposit has been paid, we may retain all or part of it to the extent permitted by law and by the circumstances of the cancellation.

If you need to move the appointment, we will try to offer an alternative time, subject to availability. However, repeated changes may affect our scheduling and may result in a revised price, particularly where staff or equipment are already allocated. A rescheduled booking will be treated as a new appointment for operational purposes, though we will attempt to maintain the same agreed service scope where feasible.

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a booking if the property is unsafe, unsuitable, or inaccessible; if the weather or external conditions make attendance impracticable; if equipment failure occurs; or if there are circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will seek to rearrange the appointment or refund any amount paid for services not performed, unless we are lawfully entitled to deduct reasonable costs already incurred.

If you fail to attend, fail to provide access, or are not ready for the service when we arrive within the agreed window, this may count as a missed appointment. In those circumstances, we may charge a call-out fee or cancellation fee. A missed visit can cause significant disruption to the day’s work and may prevent us from serving other clients. We therefore ask that you ensure clear access, suitable parking where required, and all necessary arrangements are in place before the team arrives.

Where we cancel due to our own operational issue, we will act reasonably and may offer a new appointment at the earliest practicable time. If we have already received payment for the cancelled service, we will either rebook or refund the relevant amount. Our responsibility is limited to the fee paid for the affected service, except where a broader remedy is required by law.

Cleaning technician reviewing safety and liability considerations before work begins## Liability and Service Limitations

We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill. However, cleaning inherently involves a degree of risk, especially where carpets are old, delicate, poorly fitted, previously damaged, or treated with non-standard products. Some stains may be permanent or may reappear after drying due to wicking, pre-existing contamination, or underlying issues within the pile or backing. A professional carpet cleaning outcome depends on many factors beyond our control, and we do not guarantee complete stain removal or colour restoration.

You are responsible for advising us of any known sensitivities, vulnerabilities, or prior treatments, including dyed areas, latex instability, loose seams, moth damage, water marks, or recent spot cleaning. We may refuse to treat certain items if we believe the risk of damage is too high. Where appropriate, we may carry out a small test area before commencing broader treatment. Any verbal advice given by our team should be understood as general guidance based on the visible condition at the time.

If we provide advice about drying times, aftercare, ventilation, or temporary furniture movement, it is your responsibility to follow that advice. We are not liable for damage caused by ignoring aftercare instructions, moving items too soon, placing furniture back onto damp fabric, or using unapproved chemicals after treatment. We are also not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden wear, or deterioration that becomes visible once embedded dirt has been removed.

Our total liability for loss or damage arising from any service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot legally be limited. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law. This limitation is intended to be lawful and reasonable.

We will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or inconvenience, except where such exclusion is not permitted by law. If you believe a problem has occurred, you should notify us promptly and allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and consider a remedy. In many cases, re-treatment or partial refund may be a suitable resolution if a valid service failure is established.

## Waste Regulations and Property Responsibility

Carpet cleaning waste and cleaning materials handled in line with UK regulationsWe operate in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental requirements. Any waste generated by our work, including dirty solution, extracted residue, used cloths, packaging, or minor debris directly arising from the service, will be handled responsibly and disposed of or retained in compliance with relevant regulations and best practice. We do not knowingly leave waste behind where it can be reasonably removed, stored, or disposed of properly by our team.

You are responsible for ensuring that the property allows lawful and safe disposal or management of any waste associated with the service. If specialist disposal is required because of hazardous contamination, unusual substances, or regulated materials not ordinarily encountered in carpet cleaning, we may refuse the task or charge separately for the extra handling and disposal required. We will not be obliged to remove hazardous waste unless this has been expressly agreed in advance and can be carried out lawfully.

If we find items that may pose a health, safety, or environmental risk, we may stop work until the issue is resolved. This could include exposure to bodily fluids, excessive mould, chemicals, sharps, or other dangerous materials. In such cases, additional safety measures, specialist equipment, or external support may be required. You must disclose any known contamination before the appointment so we can decide whether the service can proceed safely and lawfully.

We expect customers to provide accurate information about pets, waste, access, utilities, and any substances likely to affect the cleaning process. Where a property owner, occupier, landlord, agent, or tenant has a role in arranging the service, each person involved should ensure they have authority to approve the work and accept these terms. We may rely on the instructions of the person who made the booking unless we are told otherwise before the appointment.

## Complaints, Variations, and Governing Law

If you are dissatisfied with any part of the service, you should notify us as soon as possible and, ideally, before the area has been heavily used or altered after cleaning. This helps us inspect the issue fairly and assess whether re-treatment, explanation, or another reasonable remedy is appropriate. We welcome the opportunity to resolve matters promptly and in a professional manner. Any complaint should be made with sufficient detail to allow a proper review of the service provided.

We may vary these terms from time to time. Any variation will take effect when published or otherwise communicated, but it will not usually affect bookings already confirmed unless required by law or agreed by both parties. If any clause is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will continue in full force. No failure or delay by us in enforcing a right will constitute a waiver of that right.

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from them or the services provided by Yiewsley Carpet Cleaners, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you are entitled as a consumer to bring proceedings in another part of the UK or where mandatory law provides otherwise. By booking our service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms.
